U.S. threatens Iran with the "next
step" As Iran announced that it might resume work at the Isfahan nuclear fuel plant, the White House threatened sanctions as the next step. White House spokesman Scott McClellan said that the resumption of uranium enrichment was "an unnecessary and damaging step" and that "We've made clear that if Iran is going to violate its agreement and restart uranium reprocessing and enrichment activities, then we would have to look to the next step -- and we would be talking with our European friends about the next step". Referring the matter to the U.N. Security Council for possible sanctions, would be the "next step" he added. Apart from repeating the words "next step" several times, McClellan is not telling us anything we didn't know already (except that he may have been consuming a little too much parrott seed lately). However, it does confirm what many of us have been saying for some time, that a future attack on Iran will come in "steps" It is perhaps worth noting that Iran have said they would resume work at the Isfahan nuclear fuel plant if European countries don't come up with a new package of economic and political incentives. However, it doesn't really matter what Iran do or say, there is, as they say, already a bullet with their name on it and nothing is going to change that. We are not going to keep writing about this every time and would refer our readers (those interested) to our earlier article World Destruction begins 2005 - The price we pay for stupidity!
There was a time when politicians used to be much less obvious about the things they got up to, but the Bush administration have completely dumped that tradition and really don't care how many people can see through their plans. But when so many people accept it in the way they do, maybe they no longer have a reason to disguise their motives? News Feed
