Paris Hilton breaks off engagement to Paris in the Springtime

Paris Hilton announced yesterday that her engagement to Paris Latsis has ended. The couple became engaged in the Spring, but the hotel heiress said "she's not ready for marriage"

Paris Hilton, 24, the hotel heiress and model, got engaged to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis 5 months ago and was worried that she had seen other "breakups between people who love each other" and who had got married too quickly, that she didn't want to make the same mistake.

Maybe she has not heard of the saying "you can't go for a swim without getting your feet wet". Just because other people's relationships don't work out, doesn't mean they all end up that way.

Hilton has said that she still loves Paris (we presume she means Paris Latsis) and that they will continue doing business together. Paris Hilton said that she didn't want to give up her career adding "I have worked very hard to get to where I am" and maybe this has something to do with the break up?

There has been no mention of what will happen to the $5 million diamond engagement ring that Latsis gave her. Maybe this will be put on ice?
