Boy George charged with cocaine
possession - A "Chameleon" that can't change?
It was actually Boy George (real name George O'Dowd) who called the police in the early hours of the morning, because he thought someone was breaking into the apartment. When the police arrived they searched his apartment and found traces of cocaine on a computer table, and apparently they later found a "larger amount" at the location, but this has not been confirmed. If found guilty, Boy George, 44, could face up to 15 years in prison. The Musician has had a history of drug related problems and was exposed as a heroin addict in 1987 by some British newspapers. He was also arrested for possessing cannabis in July 1986 and this was just one of the reasons why his band Culture Club broke up. He never achieved the same kind of success in his solo career, although did have a hit with Everything I Own. He became quite a popular DJ after this attempt, but later agreed to join up with Culture Club again in 1998. News Feed |
