Pulsating Red and Pink UFO - A
detailed report Our latest UFO report was kindly sent in by Michael E. Lawrie Sr, NY, in response to an article we wrote recently called "UFOs - Is the truth really out there?" We invited people to post their comments on why they believe (or don't believe) in UFOs on our new forum. In addition to providing a report on his sighting, he has also offered an opinion on perhaps why there are non-believers. ______________________________________ Did you ever see how the sun can bleach the colors out of a pair of jeans or some old material in the barn or garage. It looks like a different piece of material on one end than on the other. One end will be a washed out light blue, while the other end is a vivid dark blue.
The above example is what happens to memories in most minds over a period of time, just like time and sun causes the jeans to fade. Parts will be vivid and clear and yet parts are faded and hard if not impossible to recall.
I have watched many things change over the years. The woods where I used to hunt changed the most. It is hardly recognizable to me these days, while years ago I knew every nook and cranny in the land. The towns and cities have changed, the people have changed and so has the transportation changed. So why would one not expect UFO's to have changed. Everything changes, that is the normal progression of things to be.
During these years I have seen many things. Some pretty strange, but real enough to convince me that something unusual happened.
The one thing that sticks in my mind, I have seen and felt things happen and saw the law of physics occur in response to what I saw. What law? The law that says, "for every action there is a reaction".
I may have had my doubts about a few things,
but once I saw that law of action and reaction it injected some simple
sense in my head. It is unfortunate that all the non-believers can't
see these things themselves. For years I have tried to convince individuals.
I even became a UFO investigator to learn more myself about the subject.
But there was little I could learn out of the vast amounts of information
available that would alter my thinking. I had seen what I had seen
and there was no kidding about it. I had someone else that was there
and saw the same thing. Of course true to past practice helicopters
seemed to start hanging around somewhat obviously when I was mowing
the grass and I did get photos of them (CLICK
HERE TO READ MORE ON THIS). Of course the UFO was moving slowly
and as it moved all I could see was the red light that emanated from
it's base area. The light being estimated at about twenty feet in
diameter. The red light was not flashing, but was going from a bright
red in the evening sky to a pink that verged on black and back to
bright red again. It might look like the lights were on a dimmer knob
in a dinning room. No flashing, just dimming and then brightening
again. This was a constant cycle. There was no sounds to be heard.
It was like I had my fingers in my ears, but I didn't. I stood there
watching as I was called from the house by one of my daughters to
see this red light. My basic UFO report follows. 12/29/94 Today is Thursday December 29, 1994 The Time is 17:30 Hours and I have just started this record. To let the facts reported here fit appropriately I have to go back to Christmas night. My girl friend, and our daughter and I, were on our way back home from Christmas dinner at my oldest daughter's home. The drive would take about an hour. It was dark and many stars filled the sky. As we drove I thought about some of the UFO lessons that I had recently taken. One included the lighting configurations of terrestrial aircraft. There were a few airplane lights in the night sky and I pointed them out to my daughter. Her mom was in the front seat and could also see the planes. I told my daughter about the running lights first. I explained that the running lights never flashed and that the one on the left wing was Red and the right wing had a Green one. There was a White non-flashing light on the top of the tail. The only flashing lights were White strobe lights and there may be one on top, one on the bottom or both on some aircraft. Some may not have any strobe light at all. Air planes also had what is often called landing lights. They are usually located on the front of the aircraft and were off during normal flight. Some may be retracted into the body or wings of the airplane. One or two are often on each wing and are very bright white lights. We picked out a few planes and noticed how only some of the lights are visible, depending on the angle from which we viewed the plane. Evidently she listened well. 12/29/94 17:25 Hours My daughter was next door visiting her
sister. She was coming home for supper. As she stepped out the door
of Pam's home she looked toward the sky. A bright red light had caught
her attention. It was flashing and she knew it shouldn't be. She ran
across the lawn to our house where her mother and I sat talking. I
was in the chair at the word processor. As My It crossed the valley and cleared the mountain by what appeared to be a few hundred feet. As it went over the mountain it should have passed over the South end of the runway at the Oneonta Airport. The time was 17:25 Hours. Its straight line course took it out of sight in less than a minute. When first observed by me it was at an angle of about 70 degrees and when it passed the top of the mountain it was at an angle of about 45 degrees. It traveled about 25 degrees in approximately 30 to 45 seconds. I thought it was going slower until I reviewed what I had seen. At first I thought it was going at the normal speed of a Piper Cub or Cessna aircraft. I believe the lack of sound caused my misjudgment. I called the Oneonta Airport and a recording told me they had closed at 17:00 Hours. I called the National Weather service for the ceiling report. He told me that the ceiling was about 25,000 feet with only a few scattered clouds very high. The visibility, he said, was very good. I called Keith and gave him a brief report. I started this record at 17:30 Hours. I stopped for supper, and a few phone calls. The time is 19:48 Hours. Oneonta Airport - (607) 431-1076 National Weather Service - (607) 729-1597 - after the recorded message the phone is answered by weather personnel. I asked for a general ceiling report as they do not cover the Oneonta area. They cover Elmira, Syracuse and other cities. Temperature at the time of sighting was 12 deg F. This was taken from my outside thermometer right after the sighting. Time of sighting was 17:25 Hours. Witnesses two: #1) my daughter - first observer - it was at its zenith when she observed it. It was her second known encounter. She, her mother and father observed a UFO which was traveling at a great height three or four years ago. #2) Michael Lawrie - age 57 - It was his third known UFO sighting and the closest one. Unusual Aspects: My daughter was not aware she had not heard a sound until she was asked. She then was obviously surprised at the realization of that fact. Her remark about a flashing Red light had influenced me. I reported the light as flashing to Keith. After he questioned me, I realized the light was pulsing. The object appeared to be moving slow, but the degrees it covered at the height it was at, indicated a faster speed. I think the lack of sound affected my judgment. What might be called a silence seemed to envelope the area. This may have and may not have been a psychological effect.
I looked very hard for any indication of running lights, jet exhaust glow and strobe lights. There was none visible. I listened for sound, but heard none at all. I estimated it height at between 500 and 1,000 feet. I consider that low. Most commercial aircraft passing over this area are very high. I would guess most fly around 20 to 30,000 feet. A few around 15,000 feet. Most small air craft fly around the height that the UFO was observed at, 500 to 1'000 feet. It was more to the higher side. No vehicle or shape was visible, only the light. Its direction of flight was due East or you might say its azimuth was 90 degrees. Are there Aliens? Well I have not found a solid piece of a space ship yet and I am not looking anymore. I have seen enough in my 67 years to prove to me there are things out there you will never learn about until you experience them. I know what I have seen and from those experiences I can only say that some may be controlled by aliens and some may be controlled by man. If you suffer not knowing then find out more, I don't know how to help people who don't believe except to tell them, "Keep Looking Up". _______________________________________________

entered the kitchen she said, you better hurry if you want to see
a flashing Red light in the sky. I ran to the kitchen and opened the
door. My daughter said it was moving and I'd have to get out on to
the lawn to see it. When I took several steps out to the middle of
the lawn, I saw the bright Red light myself. It was really a pulsating
Red light. It would be bright Red then fade to a deep Pink and back
to Red and then Pink again. The cycle was a continuous one. It was
between 1/2 to 3/4 the size of an aspirin at arms length. The sun
had set and the sky was a Blue Black color. It was just before dark.
I couldn't see any clouds and I didn't notice any stars. There was
no sound. As I watched the light it seemed to glide silently on its
course, which was due East.
